Easter Rhythms

Here are some Easter Rhythms you can use with your students.  There are 40 eggs and 8 wild duck cards.  You may print them at https://docs.google.com/open?id=0ByLP40wrRT-SM3ZWYkJ3VmhRYktZN3VFSWFLZnJ4dw

Here is how I use them...
1. Pass out eggs to students
2. Have the students find other students that have the same spring word and rhythm
3. The student partners then have to read their spring word and clap and name their rhythm
4. Scramble the eggs, and then they need to find words that go together like…...“jelly bean”, or
Easter egg, or green grass
5. Scramble and repeat

  1. can you list which eggs go together? There are some that don't seem to work, and wanted to check. Also you stated to have the kids match the same spring word and rhythm. Do you print 2 copies or do you just match quarter note to quarter note, not worrying about the word. (There are not two of each word, only some of them) thanks for the idea. I think it would be fun for a group lesson.

  2. I used these with my Kinder and 1st grade students last week. They loved it! We did learning centers on Friday and they had a blast creating their own Spring patterns. Thanks for sharing!

  10. I searched and found printable coloured Easter eggs, I printed them out and for my grade one's I had them compose their own rhythms on the eggs. 1 egg per rhythm and they then cut out their eggs and glued their rhythm pattern eggs on construction paper. Some of my grade 1's made 4 different rhythm patterns and some chose to do 8 :). Hope this helps some people.

  11. Hello. I tried to download your Easter Egg Rhythms, but site said it was not available. Could you please send these to me at my email address? This looks so much fun, and I would love to use your activities.
    Thanks so much!
